Elden Ring Nepheli Questline Guide: Is It Appropriate to Give It to Her?

 Jul 24, 2024

You'll encounter some difficult jobs as you navigate the wilds of Elden Ring. It's challenging enough to fight against waves of adversaries, but what about morally difficult decisions that might permanently change someone's life in the game? Are you prepared for the challenges that Nepheli Loux presents, and the decisions you will have to make over her life?

Fortunately, we are here to assist you in selecting the best option for you. We'll consider all sides of the argument, determine when it makes the most sense to act, and advise you on the best course of action on whether to give Nepheli the potion or postpone giving this quest-specific item to someone else.

Elden Ring: Using Potions for Nepheli and Other Conditions

Giving a potion made by the Sorcerer Seluvis to Nepheli is a choice you'll have as you go through this questline, but should you?

You're not sure what's in the potion, but you can make sense of some of the perhaps sinister things Seluvis has been up to by looking into a few things that hint at them.

Currently, you are on the Ranni The Witch questline. There are a few visual cues that indicate the potion may be utilized for foul play when this comes into play. Just below Ranni's tower, you'll discover an underground area with a number of lifeless dolls—a hint as to what Seluvis could be up to with his potions.

Sadly, these indications do lead to the ultimate solution to the puzzle: if Nepheli consumes the potion, her mortal existence will die and she will become a puppet, enabling you to utilize her Sprit Ashes to help you on your journey. He will gladly teach you magic as well. There are a few more factors to take into account, even if this can have some appeal.

Although this could enable you to purchase spells from Seluvis, you can also give this potion to the Dung Eater, who will advise you to tell lies to Seluvis so that you can still learn from him. If he falls for your deception, you'll save Nepheli's life and eventually obtain the Spirit Ashes of the Dung Eater.

Nepehli is a great companion who doesn't deserve to be a puppet, thus it's not recommended to give her the potion when someone's life is in jeopardy. Either way, you'll learn Sorcery, so why take someone's life who doesn't deserve it in the process?

Elden Ring is now available on the PC, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
