When Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is presentWith only one day to go before launch, NIS America has revealed shocking news that will undoubtedly shock a significant number of fans: the PC version of Ys VIII will not launch on September 12 as planned, but rather at an undisclosed date.

The most recent of Adol's many adventures, as you may remember, was scheduled to launch tomorrow on the PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. But NISA decided to postpone the game's PC release in order to "improve gameplay quality" as a result of certain failures.

Even though PC gamers who had been anticipating the game's release are obviously disappointed, it's better than NIS America releasing the game unfinished and frustrating people who paid a large sum of money up front. This could be said of any game, really, but because Ys is one of the greatest RPG series ever, it should be experienced at its peak.

Thankfully, the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game, which go on sale tomorrow in North America and September 15 in Europe, are unaffected by this delay. The most that PC users can hope for is that the delay won't be too great.
