Dragon Quest Heroes is Added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Nintendo's E3 presentation last year revolved on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with the slogan "Everybody is here!" That turned out to be true at the time, but with the Fighter Pass, the game is adding more characters—Joker being the first to arrive a few months ago. Nintendo revealed the other attendees at the beginning of their E3 Nintendo Direct, a tease for the rest of the lineup.
In a stunning computer-generated imagery teaser, Link is shown fending against demonic versions of Meta Knight and Marth before the Dragon Quest Hero comes to his rescue. Even though leaks made it clear that Erdrick would be arriving, the person who first rescues him turns out to be the Hero from Dragon Quest 11.
The video swiftly reveals, however, that he is not alone as he also has three other series skins, including Erdrick from Dragon Quest 3 and the version from Dragon Quest 8.
The use of a real RPG-style meter to choose magic strikes and other moves makes the characters appear fantastic. They also have a Mega Man-style Final Smash that combines the main characters from the whole series in one move.
Sometime this summer, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will include the Hero from Dragon Quest.
