Act 1, 2, and 3: All Points of No Return in Baldur's Gate 3

 Jul 23, 2024

There are places in Baldur's Gate 3 that you will unavoidably encounter on your travels in the Forgotten Realms that are known as Points of No Return. What do they consist of?

The three Acts of the game are divided by Points of No Return, which you may cross to drastically alter your experience. Because of this, it's critical to understand the locations of each Now Return point and what happens when you cross them. Acts 1, 2, and 3 include all of the Points of No Return for Baldur's Gate 3 listed here.

Acts 1, 2, and 3's points of no return are listed below in Baldur's Gate 3:

  • Act 1: Travel through the Mountain Pass or Underdark
  • Act 2: Completing the Gauntlet of Shar quest
  • Act 3: After beating Ketheric Thorm, the final boss of Act 2. You will then leave Moonrise Towers and travel the road to Baldur’s Gate

Points of no return in BG3 are not something to be overly concerned about. When you get to a point when there is no turning back, the game goes above and beyond to notify you by presenting a message that reads, "You are about to progress your adventure." Be careful to secure any loose ends before moving further!

In Baldur's Gate 3, Points of No Return indicate the conclusion of each Act, and the game will take special care to alert you as you approach one. Crossing Points of No Return may hinder you from beginning or finishing quests, therefore before moving on to the next Act, be sure you have everything figured out in the current one.

When you pass through the Mountain Pass or Underdark, you reach the first point of return. to get at Act 2. Even while you may still revisit Act 1 locations, many of the side missions here won't be attainable . because, based on your decisions, the NPCs have either perished or moved on. When you get to this stage, the game will alert you, so be sure you've finished all the objectives before moving on to Act 2.Similar: How to Switch the Sharpshooter and Great Weapon Master in Baldur's Gate 3

is the next Point of No Return. When you depart from the Moonrise Towers to go to Baldur's Gate in Act 3, after your victory against Ketheric Thorm, the last boss of Act 2. This is your final opportunity to finish tasks in the Shadow Lands region, since all material up to your departure for Baldur's Gate will be unaccessible. This covers the regions that make up Act 1. Level up and do side missions before arriving to Baldur's Gate since there will be surprises along the way.The last fight is where there is absolutely no turning back. You may take on Orin and Gortash at your own pace, but keep in mind that as the story develops, certain objectives can become inaccessible. For example, even if you may start the Steel Watch quest, completely turning it off will make it impossible for you to complete the "Rescue Prisoners at the Iron Throne" quest.Note from the Author:While playing Baldur's Gate 3 on Steam Dec, I was writing this guide.k.
