Firmware Update 8.0.0 for Nintendo Switch Is Now Available
Overall, the Nintendo Switch is an excellent device, but since its release two years ago, users have still been requesting a ton of features and applications. System firmware upgrades, of which a brand-new version has recently been made available, are how any modifications to the system are done. Despite not being a significant upgrade, the Nintendo Switch still has a few intriguing features.
Nintendo Switch users may now download version 8.0.0 of the most recent update for their device. Along with some features you will probably never use, this most recent version includes a couple that might be helpful.
You may now rearrange your Nintendo Switch software according to your preferences, such by publisher, title, play time, and most recent play session, thanks to the Sort Software function. It's a wonderful feature to be able to adjust the display as the system now shows by latest time played.
The Zoom function, which allows you to switch on the feature and zoom in by hitting the Home button twice, is one that you probably won't use very often. Although it improves system accessibility, this won't be used very often.
Preventing the system from waking up from Sleep Mode when the AC adapter is unplugged or when you undock your device is another new function that will be accessible.
One new feature looks like it may really assist with that, especially with rumors indicating that Nintendo plans to release two new variants of the Nintendo Switch later this year. The Transfer Your Save Data function, which lets you move save data for certain titles across different Nintendo Switch systems, is new to this update. However, the save data from the original system will be deleted during system transfer.
Update 8.0.0 also includes fifteen new Splatoon 2 and Yoshi's Crafted World player icons. Make sure to check these out, since they contain new Octoling player icons among other things.
A few other minor changes are also included, such the option to View All Available News Options, the parental controls' limitation on VR mode, and the option to switch your region to Hong Kong, Taiwan, or South Korea.
If your system is not configured to update automatically, you may find this update, as usual, under System Update in the settings section.
