Official Announcement of the "Omniscient Reader" Anime Adaptation at Anime Expo

Given the overwhelming popularity of Solo Leveling, it should come as no surprise to anime fans that more popular manhwa adaptations than ever before started to appear. The long-rumored anime adaptation of Omniscient Reader is now in development, it has been officially announced.

The online book centers on Dokja, a typical office worker whose sole pastime is reading a web novel called Three Ways To Survive the Apocalypse. It was eventually turned into a manhwa, or Korean webtoon. He is dismayed to see that the novel's tale is coming to pass and that he is the only one who can figure out how to stop it.

Aniplex has granted the anime adaptation a license, and it will be available for viewing on Crunchyroll. However, the studio responsible for the animation has not yet been disclosed. It seems sense that there are high expectations for the anime considering that the original product is a popular favorite.
