This month, the DC Universe App will finally launch on Xbox One consoles.
DC Universe, a new streaming service from DC Comics and Warner Bros. Entertainment, debuted in September of last year and offers everything linked to the massive comic book company. Fans have been requesting that the app be made available on consoles ever since its introduction, and at least one platform has now granted their wish.
Exclusive DC Comics-related series including Titans, Doom Patrol, and Young Justice: Outsiders are already available on the $7.99/month or $75/year DC Universe streaming service. Later this year, programs like Swamp Thing and Harley Quinn will be added. There is also a backlog of DC media that includes comic books, TV series, and other motion pictures.
The DC Universe app is now accessible on the website itself as well as for download on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Fire TV devices. To put it mildly, the absence of console support has been frustrating, but it is about to become far worse.
DC Comics has announced that at some point in April, DC Universe will launch on Xbox One. Although a precise release date was not specified, it is expected to come within the next several weeks.
Owners of PS4 are now asking when they will get the app as a consequence of this. Though there isn't any information available right now, you would assume that it will happen sooner rather than later. It would also be good to see Nintendo Switch, even if Netflix hasn't even made its way onto that device yet.
Watch out for the Xbox One release of DC Universe in the next weeks.
