PC games may now use Instagram-style filters thanks to the Nvidia GeForce Experience Freestyle feature.

During today's CES press conference, Nvidia revealed that it would be releasing a new feature for its GeForce Experience program called Freestyle. This tool lets users apply over thirty picture filters to the games they are currently playing.

These essentially work similarly to Instagram's filter feature, which lets users add a desired filter to their own photos to make them seem better. Freestyle lets users do the same thing, but with PC games instead of photos. To give the game a more vintage feel, players may add sepia, or fade the colors entirely, or they can apply black and white.

Not all of these filters, of course, are just for show; some can actually be used to enhance vision in specific situations. For example, there is a mode specifically designed to help colorblind players see images more clearly, and there is also a Night Mode that lessens blue color to make games easier on the eyes at night.

There are a total of 15 filters with 38 distinct settings, which consist of:

— In both black and whiteIn other words, — Color — Colorblind — In contrast Specifics — Half Tone
— Exposure — Attitude — Night Mode
— Vintage — Sepia — Briefcase The Depth of Field Special Effects Modifications

Nvidia also disclosed over 100 titles that it would work with during the test, in addition to Freestyle. While most are very ordinary, there are a few noteworthy ones, including StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void furthermore, The Evil Within 2 Whichever experience is delivered might vary greatly according on the filter the user chooses.

However, you must ensure that you have upgraded to the latest version before you can use Freestyle. In this scenario, when the updated Nvidia driver (release 390) and GeForce Experience (3.12) become available on January 9, you'll need to download them. In the GeForce Experience settings, you will also need to enable the "Experimental Features" option.

All things considered, these filters seem really awesome, and even while they generally won't be as comprehensive as separate modifications, it's still wonderful that Nvidia is giving people the option to obtain many filters in one location.
