Malenia Elden Ring Location: The Miquella Boss's Malenia Blade Location Guide

 Jul 24, 2024

You don't have to battle Malenia in order to finish Elden Ring. Although you don't have to battle her to get every ending in Elden Ring, she is a fantastic rune holder. But you will have to defeat her if you want her boss weapon or spell. Since she's one of the game's hardest bosses, some even do it only to brag. Naturally, traveling to Malenia is more difficult than traveling to the Tree Sentinal. Before you can battle Malenia, you must go rather far inside Elden Ring; let's see how far you still have to travel.

How to Reach Elden Ring's Boss Fight with Malenia

Malenia is somewhat of an optional monster in Elden Ring; most other optional bosses, like Dung Eater, are usually sealed behind a questline. Before you can battle her, you will need to spend a good deal of time exploring and progressing through the game since you need to activate both of the Great Lifts in order to get to her location. The plot will advance when the Great Lift of Dectus is triggered. What will stand in the path of your journey to confront Malenia in Elden Ring is the Great Lift of Rold. It is not necessary to activate the Great Lift of Rold in order to win the game, unlike Dectus's lift. You may go through Elden Ring without ever encountering this elevator. The lift is located in the Giants' Mountaintops, but in order to use it, you'll need all pieces of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.Located west of Liurnia of the Lakes lies the Village of the Albinaurics, where you may find the first of these parts. You have to locate Albus, an NPC, before he can give it to you. He'll be hiding in a dead end, close to a coffin, dressed as a pot. Albus should take its spot after you give the pot a good whack. After giving you the medallions to keep safe, he will ask you to get the other half from Latenna.Latenna is located in the Slumbering Wolf's Shack, which is only accessible after defeating the dungeon in Liurnia of the Lakes' Crystal Cave. She tells you where the medallion is and offers to come with you as a summons to get it, even if she does not really own it. The second half of the medallion is really located at Castle Sol. It is located in the northeast tower, which is accessible after Commander Niall has been vanquished. You may now use the elevator to the Consecrated Snowfield with both medallion halves. The boss battle should be just down the stairs when you get at the Haligtree Roots place of grace.
