Netflix Is Getting An Animated Series Based On Dragon's Dogma
Dragon's Dogma, a Capcom title , will soon be back in the spotlight, this time owing to an animated Netflix series. As of right now, not much is known about the adaptation; however, it will be made by Sublimation (009 Re:Cyborg, Tokyo ESP), and if the description is any guide, it will probably stick to the original plot:Dragon's Dogma, an action role-playing game with an open universe developed by Capcom, will be made into an anime series that Netflix will produce. The narrative centres on a man's quest for vengeance against a dragon that broke his heart. The guy gets revived as a "Arisen" while travelling. An action-packed tale of a man facing challenges from demons symbolised by the seven deadly sins committed by humanity.Speaking of the original content, Dragon's Dogma was released in May 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. An expansion, Dark Arisen, was released in April 2013. Since then, it has been released on the PS4 and Xbox One in a HD version and ported to the PC. The most recent announcement came from Capcom, which said that a Switch version would be released in April.Since the director, Hideaki Itsuno, is no longer attached to Devil May Cry 5, fans may continue to hope for a new entry. The announcement may not mean much to those who are not interested in anime or who do not have Netflix, but it does indicate that Capcom still has some interest in the series.
