The 2017 LawBreakers Content Roadmap Is Out
By the end of this week, LawBreakers will just be one month old, but based on a recent teaser on Twitter, Cliff Bleszinski and his studio, Boss Key Productions, seem to have already planned out the content for the show's fourth quarter of 2017.
Future updates for LawBreakers for the PlayStation 4 and PC will include new maps (Namsan and Gateway), more features, Boss Leagues, and a new class, as can be seen in the picture. Regular updates will also be released throughout the year, of course. Although the graphic suggests that this information will be released in a sequential fashion (from the leftmost image to the right), the game's Twitter account also mentions that changes are always possible with video game production.
This news coincides with the poor performance of LawBreakers on the PC (and maybe the PlayStation 4). As mentioned in a previous article, the game hasn't been able to gain traction even after getting positive reviews and being released into a market that seemed open to it. Only 354 players had been playing the game at its peak over the previous 24 hours when the previous article was published, and that number has only slightly decreased since then.
Bleszinski seems unconcerned with the low numbers, at the very least, and has said on a few occasions that LawBreakers has what it takes to be a big player in the gaming industry.
"This is not a sprint; it's a marathon," he said in an interview. "I believe the positive Steam reviews are due to my preference to be the underappreciated game that gradually gains popularity rather than one that receives excessive hype and faces negative feedback."
It is unclear at this point, however, whether this optimism is blind or refers to better days for the title.
PS4 and PC versions of LawBreakers are available.
