The Nintendo Switch version of Resident Evil 4 lacks motion controls.
One of the most re-released games of the last several console generations is without a doubt Resident Evil 4, and it's likely to stay that way in the next generations as well. The most recent of these releases is for the Nintendo Switch, which raised questions about whether motion controls similar to those in the Wii version will be included. That issue has been addressed now that the game is beginning to launch in various regions, and the conclusion probably won't please everyone.
Clearly, Resident Evil 4 had no motion controls when it was first launched for the GameCube. Two years later, the game revolutionized all of this by providing one of the greatest shooter experiences available on the Wii. Many hoped that the functionality would be included for the Nintendo Switch version of Resident Evil 4, since it established the de facto norm for the game.
Resident Evil 4 on Switch does not, in fact, come with any kind of motion controls, as we have discovered since the game's release in certain areas. This is essentially the same kind of release that we've seen on systems like the PS4 and Xbox One, which did not come with motion controllers itself, according to GameXplain.
This is rather unfortunate since it implies that if we want motion controls for this game, we'll have to play it on the Wii again. All we can do right now is wait for a fix that probably won't happen anytime soon since having an HD version of the game with motion controls would have been really great.
