Hands-on Preview: Overwatch 2: Welcome, New and Old Heroes
Heroes in the Company of Friends
After participating in the open beta every night, my biggest fear has come true: I now like playing Overwatch.. That doesn't mean, however, that I wasn't nervous as a rookie player. For someone who has never played Overwatch before, there are a plethora of reasons to be concerned. And if I let my team down? What if I choose the incorrect hero? What happens if I don't do a good job in my role?Play with buddies, is what I would advise. Whether you all launch into the game green or your pals have already played Overwatch 1,With friends, Overwatch 2 is enjoyable and forgiving..A buddy or two is fantastic, but You will have an incredible time if you are playing with a complete team of five friends. Rather than obsessing about the optimal reply of the other team's Junker Queen, you are allowed to take chances and try out a few different Heroes throughout the fight. You may easily switch roles with your pals mid-game, depending on the game style, to discover which role and Heroes you like. The pressures, worries, tension, and perspiration that come with playing this competitive game disappear when you are learning how to play with your friends. My Initial Selections
It's not necessary for me to be the player who does the most damage and gets the most kills. That being said, There are a few Heroes in each character class that I found useful. Tank, Damage, and Support are the three categories that make up the class system, however there are many flexible characters who straddle the boundaries.
The first two characters that I connected with were Mei and Bastion. Large and equipped with a grenade and a Gatling rifle, Bastion is a robot. Because of his enormous health as a Damage Hero, Bastion plays a little like a Tank. Mei, on the other hand, uses her frozen powers to slow down her adversaries and seize control of the battlefield. Although Mei is a Damage Hero as well, she has several Support skills, including as the ability to block opposing teams with her Ice Wall and Blizzard abilities.Every Hero has two or three primary skills, one or two passive powers, one or two weapon damage-dealing choices, and an ultimate. On paper, it can seem a little difficult, but in practice, it's quite easy. Selecting and using any character from the Overwatch 2 roster feels both natural and unique. Even if you won't instantly understand the Hero's complex plans, you will instantly enjoy playing as each character. And there's much more joy to be had in uncovering the deeper tactics of your favorite Hero. The reason why Damage Heroes are great for Overwatch beginners is because team compositions primarily consist of one Tank, two Damage, and two Support. This makes Damage the simplest and friendliest place to start for Overwatch newcomers. The team's lone tank player must always be at the top of their game, and the supports play a crucial part in keeping their squad healthy.
Try different characters when you're at ease with a few. Try .Try Roadhog, the chain-hooking maniac, Kiriko the new healer, and Moira, the damage-dealing healer. One of the best parts in Overwatch 2 is experimenting.
