The release date of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition S is announced.
Though Nintendo Switch users had to wait for the previously announced version for that platform, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age was launched to acclaim on the PlayStation 4 and PC in September of last year. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition S is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 27, according to the Nintendo Direct for E3, which was held last night. The Square Enix E3 presentation just said that the game will be released this autumn.
The Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition S is far from all that it is. The game was also published in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS, using a top-down, vintage 2D graphic style that was never seen in the West. That is also a playable option in this game, which further solidifies the notion that this is the final version.
The completely orchestrated music on this version will satisfy those who have been dissatisfied with the original's soundtrack, since it departs from the more traditional approach seen in the PS4 and PC editions.
On September 27, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition S will be available for the Nintendo Switch.
