Every New Figure in Overwatch 2

 Jul 23, 2024
Overwatch 2's world will only grow when it becomes available to all players shortly. This translates into more playable areas, backstory, events, and—above all—more characters. Characters will be in demand for lore, gameplay options, and maybe even a chance to change the meta (ideally for the better). We have been treated to trailers and later character releases for Overwatch 2 since its first announcement. This is their profile and what they do.

Every New Figure in Overwatch 2

Since the game's first announcement in 2019, two additional characters have been added. Sojourn and Junker Queen are who they are. This is the main idea behind them all.

JourneyShe is a DPS hero with devastating speed. Her main weapon is a railgun with a fast-firing mechanism for everyday use. Her main fire produces energy with each strike that is delivered. Her alt-fire, which makes use of the real Railgun, is powered by that accumulated energy. The Railgun alt-fire will do more damage the greater the charge. This is where headshot multipliers come in.

There's an indicator below your reticle that lets you know how much charge you currently have. The charges are divided into three stages, each of which becomes stronger with time.

The Disruptor Shot, her initial ability, fires an energy burst that captures and damages the targeted foes. Since the trap primarily slows down foes, it's the perfect opportunity to utilize your railgun to strike those that move more slowly. Although the Disruptor shot causes damage as well, it's a sluggish DoT that you may utilize to weaken opponents in preparation for your charged blast.

Her next move is a movement focused on usefulness. Sojourn has the ability to Power Slide, which accelerates her motion throughout the animation. She can leap higher while doing the slide, which gives her the ability to land in the best camping areas and, in some situations, reach a decent flanking position to wear out the opposition squad.

Lastly, her ultimate power, Overclock, charges her Railgun automatically. Because of this, she may continuously shoot her alt-fire at foes with more damage, and every shot that lands will penetrate them. When paired with someone like Zarya, who can gather foes together, Overclock may pair incredibly effectively. On the other hand, it may also be quite powerful when she uses her Disruptor Shot.

Sojourn can be a suitable substitute if you play characters similar to Baptiste or Soldier: 76.

Junker QueenAfter the first beta concluded, we were just presented to the new hero, Junker Queen. This new Tank hero is all about using physical power, reducing the health of your opponents, and taking care of herself.

Her main weapon of choice is a scattergun. It's a standard pump-action shotgun that becomes more lethal the nearer she gets to her adversaries. She also carries her ax, which does damage over time and injures opponents upon hit, to supplement close-quarters fighting.

She carries the Jagged Blade, which she may wield as a projectile or a melee weapon, in addition to the ax. It gradually causes harm as well. She gains some health back with each tick of her unique DoT mechanism, which makes it quite helpful.

Additionally, she has the Commanding Shout ability, which adds 200 to her own health and 100 to the health of close allies. It helps when you have to strive as a team to accomplish a goal. The difference between wiping the other team and losing may be determined by one's ability to withstand a little amount of more damage.

Her ultimate, Rampage, is a lethal charge that delays an enemy's ability to recover for a short while after it hits them. It's ideal for those who withdraw and work on getting well. It works well as a counter to burst healing as well.

If you received an invite for the first wave, you may now enter the second beta, where Junker Queen is available.

The release date of Overwatch 2 is set for October 4, 2022. It will be accessible on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series consoles, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
