Unquestionably, one of the best streaming services for anime in the west is Crunchroll, if not the biggest. The comment area, which let anime fans interact with one another by expressing their thoughts on new releases, was one feature that consistently made the site stand out.

But in a daring move, Crunchyroll has eliminated the option to leave comments on any material on the website, even on their "Crunchyroll News" page.

Why Were Comments Removed from Crunchyroll?

The loss of one of Crunchyroll's primary community services has drawn a lot of criticism, although the business seems to have taken the decision with the greatest of intentions based on a recent statement:
The reason for this sort of remark, while it may not be clear to all fans, is the recent release of the anime Twilight Out of Focus, which is about males' love. However, the new series received a lot of hateful comments for various reasons.Even though this is regrettable and comes at an unexpected time considering the other recent controversy that Crunchyroll has found itself in about the purported usage of AI-generated translations, it is at least somewhat encouraging to see the platform attempting to shield consumers from encountering unjustified racism on the website. Mother's Basement, a well-known anime content developer, also offered his thoughts on the matter, posting the following on his public X account:
Since this is a developing story, anything not specifically verified should be considered rumoured.
