It gets its name from the blue vault that appears in your browser when you begin the quiz. Any fan is welcome to take part and submit their response. All they need to do is locate the word or phrase that corresponds with the provided tip. In order to unlock the vault, fans must solve each of the 99 riddles given 33 million times worldwide.

Here's how to verify that the Taylor Vault response you provided was accurate.

  1. Search for “Taylor Swift” on Google. The results page will open and a blue vault will drop from the top of your screen.
  2. Tap the blue vault. A puzzle will show up, along with a hint.
  3. Figure out the puzzle answer. It’s usually related to lyrics of Taylor Swift’s songs.
  4. When you think you solved it, type the answer to the Taylor Swift vault puzzle it in the search bar on the same page where the vault is open. Confirm to search for it.
  5. If you got the answer right, a popup will appear saying you solved the puzzle. If it doesn’t show up, your answer is wrong and you must go back to the previous page and try again.
  6. Click “New Puzzle” to try another one.
  7. If you don’t want to solve the puzzle Google gave you, click the blue vault again then select “New Puzzle”.
