May 2019 Xbox Live Games With Gold

Once again, it's that time of month when new Xbox Live Games With Gold games are unveiled; this month, it's a touch tight. Xbox Live Gold customers have access to four new games every month to download and play. We've returned to the two Xbox 360 titles scheduled for the next month after receiving two Xbox One games, one Xbox 360 game, and one Xbox Original game for many months.

First up, Marooners, the Xbox One game that will be accessible all month beginning on May 1st, is a major letdown. This game only costs $9.99 at retail and was launched at the beginning of 2018 to a Metacritic review score of 56. Sincerely, this may be among the worst Xbox One products we've seen so far, which devalues the whole month right away.

The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour in the second part of the month does seem to be a significant improvement. Since it began a few years ago, this golf series has experienced considerable progress, but EA Sports hasn't produced any new PGA Tour titles since last August. With an 80 Metascore and a $49.99 suggested retail price, the game offers a far better value than the other Xbox One title.

Additionally, we are giving two Xbox 360 titles that are backwards compatible. Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is available from May 1st until May 15th. This 2011 product, which is presently available for $19.99 at retail, has a Metascore of 68. This is replaced in the second part of May by Comic Jumper, a 2010 game that retails for $14.99 and has a Metascore of 74.

While May isn't a completely bad month for Games With Gold, Marooners' presence severely detracts from the experience. In any case, don't forget to download the last games from April today before the new ones go up on May 1st.
