Legend of Elden Ring: Who Is Radahn? Weaknesses, Boss Battle, and Demigod
Owing to Elden Ring's open-ended design, players may expect to run across very strong bosses very early in the game. One such boss is Radahn, who is regarded as one of the Lands Between's strongest characters overall. It's surprising that there isn't much to Radahn's character outside of his legendary status and remarkable abilities. Despite having a moniker as lofty as "conqueror of the stars," Radahn's biography is not difficult to comprehend. As expected, players are most likely to get very confused and frustrated during his boss battle.
Starscourge Radahn: Who is Elden Ring Lore?
Like his sister Ranni, Radahn is the offspring of Rennala and Radagon. He remained with Radagon, unlike Ranni, until the Shattering, falling in love with Godfrey's face and even modeling his armor after the first Elden Lord. He also kept a thin stallion with him, but finally the steed was unable to carry the weight of the enormous man. Despite everything, Radahn cherished his feeble steed and studied gravity magic under the guidance of an Alabaster Lord to make sure he wouldn't crush it. Radahn was also able to "challenge the stars" after learning about this power, but it's unclear exactly what this meant.
A sword monument discovered in Caelid claims that Radahn prevented Sellia from being hit by a meteor shower by holding back the stars. The stars travel again after destroying Radahn, but this time they collide with Limgrave instead of Sellia. It is unclear why Radahn held back the stars or even how he managed to do this off. Still, the experience earned him the moniker Starscourge and solidified his position as one of the most powerful demigods in the Lands Between.
Radahn and his army engaged in several conflicts with his siblings throughout the Shattering, until ultimately engaged in combat with Malenia. Malenia delivered the decisive punch in their bout, but the two would go to a draw. Scarlet Rot spread from her body as a result of her assault, infecting Radahn directly and covering the affected area of Caelid. When the player reaches his arena, the illness will continue to eat away at his body and soul, leaving him nothing more than a mindless beast devouring the corpses of fallen warriors. The Radahn Festival was established in remembrance of him, bringing together fighters from the Lands Between to fight the demigod and put an end to his suffering. It's interesting to note that Radahn utilizes his gravity magic to stay on his horse even after contracting Scarlet Rot, demonstrating the indestructible nature of their link.
Fighting Radahn may be quite challenging, particularly if you're trying to get your second or third Great Rune. Fortunately, players may continually summon parties of NPCs to aid them in fighting the demigod with almost no drawbacks because of the nature of his festival. It's a good idea to utilize Torrent to sometimes move in and strike Radahn a few times while the summoning is on your side. If you want to battle him alone, you should only go closer to him on your own horse. Without it, you may not make it through his phase change and it will take a long time to withstand his first barrage of arrows!
As the battle goes on, Radahn will use increasingly lethal maneuvers by using his gravitational abilities. He often projects waves of purple energy in front of himself, requiring players to roll between them or use Torrent to leap. In general, it's a good idea to go as near to Radahn as possible, no matter how awful that concept may sound. If you have any weapons or techniques that can deal Scarlet Rot, being near can let you capitalize on his lore-accurate susceptibility to it. Furthermore, a lot of his strikes are quite predictable, and going around to his back will result in the majority of his gravity-based strikes, as well as many of his slashes and forward smashes, missing entirely. When you take advantage of his stature, you'll finally vanquish the Starscourge himself!
You may play Elden Ring on a PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
