One of the most significant story turns in Jujutsu Kaisen is the appearance of Pseudo-Geto. Pseudo-Geto, who had spent the entire series posing as Satoru Gojo's best friend-turned-mortal enemy Suguro Geto, made his formal introduction just before Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm by casually unscrewing the cap of Geto's skull. This revealed that the fallen jujutsu sorcerer had, for a considerable amount of time, been a corpse puppeteered by a grotesque living brain.Although fans of the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen have only recently seen Pseudo-Geto, manga readers have had enough opportunity to get acquainted with the actual brains behind the operation that most of the series adversaries have been assisting. Though it may be difficult to accept, this mind-controlling being is really the modern incarnation of an old jujutsu sorcerer by the name of Kenjaku, not a Cursed Spirit.Associated: Date, Time, and Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239 and Chapter 238

Kenjaku, a formidable jujutsu sorcerer born during Japan's Meiji period, saw the Cursed energy he and his contemporaries had as a conduit for his macabre scientific curiosity. Experimenting on Curse Spirits and humans with the ability to wield Cursed Energy, Kenjaku had the stereotypical manner of a mad scientist and showed no concern for the physical and psychological suffering his activities caused to his "test subjects."Kenjaku has been keeping himself alive for millennia by using his natural Cursed Technique, which enables him to transplant his brain into other people's bodies. He is curious to see how his experiments would turn out over time. Kenjaku has the capacity to effortlessly inhabit the bodies of innumerable individuals, transferring his mind and soul in the process. This gives him access to his hosts' special Cursed Abilities and allows him to control events in ways that assure the successful completion of his many long-running plots.Although Jujtsu Kaisen's second season offered viewers a brief look of Kenjaku, manga fans are aware that Gojo's sealing and Geto's body theft were just small steps in the centuries-long game this death-cheating jujutsu sorcerer is playing. Only for anime Fans of Jutjutsu Kaisen should be ready to fold their thoughts like origami as additional details of Kenjaku's schemes are revealed.
