The Nintendo Switch Will Get Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Another Switch port, another day. And it will be Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen from Capcom this time around.that will be arriving in April for Nintendo's hybrid console and portable.
For those who are somehow less informed than I was in 2017, when I wrote my review of the PS4 version, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (fear not, you will get the whole set) is an extension of the highly regarded 2012 smash Dragon's Dogma.
Comparable in setting and appearance to The Elder Scrolls IV: OblivionWith battle that draws inspiration from Devil May Cry, Dragon's Dogma attracted a devoted following and demanded a legitimate sequel, which they are still waiting for. The ability of Pawns, or A.I.-controlled followers, to study and develop while traveling and to apply their newfound knowledge to aid other players whenever they recruited them made them particularly popular. The ability for players to choose from nine distinct vocations (jobs), each with a unique set of abilities and/or spells, was another key selling factor.Unfortunately, exploration somewhat ruined an otherwise excellent game, despite the fact that pawns, professions, and everything else combat-related (apart from targeting) were excellent. Not only is Gransys an uninteresting setting, but there's also a shoddy quick travel mechanism and a lot of dialogue (Did you know that wolves hunt in packs? And why is it necessary to chop off a lizardman's tail? It is especially difficult to go back during the early phases of the game (don't worry, your pawn will inform you, ad nauseam).Once again, in spite of those drawbacks, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a respectable game with many hours of content that is now portable with the Switch. On April 23, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available for $29.99 on the Nintendo Switch.Watch the teaser for the announcement below:
