Zelda Links Awakening will be available on the Switch in September.
We haven't heard anything new from Nintendo on the Zelda Links Awakening remake in a while. Thanks to today's Nintendo Direct, we finally know the precise release date—which is very soon! On September 20, 2019, The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening will debut.
Along with the presentation, a brand-new trailer was released, and it seems like the game's development has been going really well. We get to see Link explore and sprint around the island, uncovering additional weapons to use and uncovering mysteries. The teaser also teases a brand-new feature that allows you to create your own dungeon, complete with obstacles the player must overcome and the whole layout.
Link's Awakening was the first game in the series released on Nintendo's Game Boy portable device, if for some reason you haven't heard of it in the last thirty or so years. It was a critical and financial success despite the constraints of the technology, making it one of the most successful games in the series. All that gave us pause was the fact that Links' eyes are pitch-black, which is difficult to look at. Nevertheless, we are eager to get our hands on this one when it releases!
On November 20, Links Awakening will be available for the Nintendo Switch. The trailer is available here:
