Elden Ring: After Defying Godfrey, Where to Go?

 Jul 24, 2024

It may not always be obvious where to go in the late game of Elden Ring when players are moving toward it. The game provides you with some vague directions via the lines on the Sites of Grace,, weak lore, and maybe the omitted conversation. Naturally, you may think that the route finishes at Leyndell, but that isn't the case. You'll battle Godfrey and be unsure about your next move. Thus, we'll direct you here to the location you need to travel after defeating Godfrey in Elden Ring.

Where to go Following Godfrey's defeat in the Elden Ring

There are two moments throughout the plot when you have to battle Godfrey. The first is in Leyndell when you battle him in the shape of a Golden spirit. Despite being a necessary boss, this fight doesn't have a decent cutscene; yet, here is where a lot of progress is achieved. After you fight him, you must go to the northeast, to the Queen's Bedchamber.

Note that you will only truly encounter one monster and head directly to Morgott, the Omen King between this boss battle and your next major goal. You should prepare ahead of time if you want to quest to get better gear or farm for levels. With a few new techniques added, he essentially has the same moveset as Margit, the Fell Omen, thus the battle is almost exactly the same.

In fact, the second time you'll need advice after Godfrey is during a fight. Now that the first Elden Lord has been overthrown, the only direction left is straight up the stairs. You recall that the impassable thorn wall barred the way up those stairs after you defeated Morgott?

The only thing left to do is confront Radagon of the Golden Order into the Elden Beast now that the impassable thorns of the Elden Throne have been burned. These helpful recommendations will help you know what to strive for while facing the final bosses. When it comes to getting to one of the three endings, Elden Ring is highly forgiving. Thus, decide if you wish to pursue the Age of the Stars or the Frenzied Flame endings.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, Xbox One, Series S/X, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
