Prices for Star Wars Battlefront are dropping everywhere.
Since Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release in a few months, EA DICE appears to be building anticipation for the game by lowering the cost of Star Wars Battlefront on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4—particularly for those who have a paid subscription service on either platform.
Note that these pricing seem to be limited to Europe for the time being before continuing. The PlayStation Store hasn't been updated yet, however pricing on the Xbox Marketplace have been similarly changed for North America.
The Season Pass, which unlocks four expansion packs (Death Star, Outer Rim, Betspin, and Rogue One: Scarif) in addition to twenty new galactic technologies, sixteen new multiplayer maps, an exclusive "shoot first" emote, eight heroes, and four new game modes, is now available for free on the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store instead of $19.99.
Users may take advantage of both of these offers regardless of whether they have a PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership, however access to the game's online features still requires those subscriptions.
In the meanwhile, the game's initial $29.99 price has been slashed to a pitiful $4.50 for the Ultimate Edition, which comes with everything including the kitchen sink. It is unfortunate that Sony does not seem to be providing a comparable offer for the PlayStation 4 in Europe, or if it is, it is a little late in doing so. As a result, it is doubtful that gamers in North America will get a comparable offer.
In contrast to the Season Pass options, this offer requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription to be valid.
It's obvious at this point that, with Star Wars Battlefront II quickly approaching, now is the ideal moment to join the Star Wars Battlefront obsession if you plan to do so. Those who bought the main game but didn't want to pay for the season pass may now play it for free, while Xbox One users who choose not to play the game at all can acquire it for almost nothing.
Hurry and take advantage of the offer before it is further modified since there has been no indication of when it will expire or if there are any intentions to change it.
